During the 1800s and early 1900s, it was common to find antlers in any number of every day products, from buttons to silverware. The original antler for this casting probably came from the handle of an eating utensil. We at Carny Couture marvel in the appreciation our elders had for nature and the way they made use of every part of these animals that sustained their lives. The Forest Elder is in memory not only of the animals, but the lifestyle of early settlers.
